NOMAD is an another Polish death metal striker, strictly connected with such bigwigs as BEHEMOTH and VESANIA. That is right, because Patrick ‘Seth’ was a member of the symbolic black metal VESANIA and is a session guitarist for BEHEMOTH. But the project itself was started in 1994. In 1996 a first demo was recorded and three years later, first full-length album ‘The Tail of Substance’. Since that time the band has been working very hard and now they can be proud of four long plays, with ‘The Independence of Observation Choice’ as their last child.

This band kicks ass! It is a fantastic proposition for every death and even black metal fan. Their performance (being far from ideal, but still, not childish), will lead the listeners into the world of dark passion and brutal death. To be honest, the connections with BEHEMOTH are quite audible, especially in characteristic riffs (probably some came from Nergal’s blacksmith), but still, they have their own NOMAD-like character and will not be confused. Definitely they will help the band to reach more fans, inside and outside the Polish border. Those fleshy riffs, characteristic style and motif shuffling, plus the lack of monotony, allows to predict that this band will soon conquer the souls of many new metalians. The ideas do not repeat, sound is clear and comprehensible. The dose of brutality clearly depicts the mood, and the lyrics can give a thrill. This music is much more than just noise, it is pure death energy (sic!) spiced up with some black elements. But still, this music needs to gain some maturity, some ripeness. Patience would do just fine, because the musicians released a good material. Now it is just a matter of time, so we will keep on waiting for another pulverizing stuff.

NOMAD are not such young players. They know all the rules which govern the metal world. They have already spread their wings but still cannot reach the upper skies. But good will and some patience will soon allow them to reach everything they want. Good luck!
