THE OLD DEAD TREE Announces New Drummer

French goth metallers are happy to reveal the name of their new drummer, Raphaël Antheaume (PENUMBRA). Raphaël has been playing with the band as temp drummer for a few months now.

“Indeed, we are very happy to announce that after having worked with us as a session musician for about six months now, Raphaël has decided to join THE OLD DEAD TREE as a full time member!”, the band comments. “The level of competition and skills among the few drummers who remained at the top of the crop was extremely high, but this guy logically outplayed everyone in the end. For those who aren’t familiar with him yet, Raphaël is the drummer of French Gothic Metal band PENUMBRA. As a professional musician, he is also involved in others projects and various music styles. To the drummers we met: again, we want to thank you all for offering your services and wish you all the best for the future!”

Now a “real” band again, THE OLD DEAD TREE will perform a special show in Paris, Le Trabendo, on next April 3rd. You can expect some oldies and covers to be played live among more traditional pieces. Swiss metallers SYBREED and “newcomers” AABSINTHE will “start the fire” on that special night. See you there!
