Here it is! At last, new GOREFEST album. This album is the second one after their long waited come back and I can say it's even better than La Muerte. Those eleven tracks (i've got the digipack version with two additional songs) are a total blast and must kill for death metal posers. Totally awesome sound, neckbreacking rhytms full of blast by Ed Warby and really great extreme metal riffing. That's the 21st century death metal.
Totally brutal and… catchy material, between the ultra brutal play we can find a solid melodic background (guiatar solos, melodies in Revolt). It's not a melodic death metal, no way folks, but still brutal GOREFEST stuff with an extra element of melody which is an excellent addition to their creation. Just to mention melody is a blazing bonus for crushing riffs, drum annihilation and apocalyptic vocals.
Vocals are deep as hell and rawness of Jan-Chris voice is totally un-human, and I'm really dehumanizated, I'm drowning in blood of human breed in last stand day… perfect soundtrack of death's domination on earth. Hail emperor GOREFEST.
This time Jan-Chris band offered us not only fast and blasting material, their breakdowns and slow-tempo parts are totally wicked and they are simply a worship mark of GOREFEST. Musicians from GOREFEST invited a special guest Jacob Bredahl (ex-Hatesphere) . He recorderd totally awesome screaming and low pitched vocals in Revolt and Speak When Spoken To and this co-operation work as an ideal.
What amazed me is the monstrual death metal track Babylon's Whores which is like an enormous beast, fast, wild, furious and full of hunger, if you were lucky maybe you would not be consumed but if not… 🙂
Smash, kill, destroy, annihilate… just RISE TO RUIN!
