KOMMANDANT are an another band, who concentrate on world conflict in their music. Yet another band, which can be described as a war metal performer. Founded in 2005, in Illinois, the group started working very fast, and in 2006, they released their first demo, titled Iron Hands on Scandinavia.
This three-tracked demo is a barrel of gunpowder, ready to blow everything into pieces. The material within is highly explosive, ultra-fast and extremely aggressive. It is a relief, to listen to some black metal riffs, which are not connected with the religious fanaticism. From the very beginning, the music kicks ass, with its superb speed and very crafty performance – it is audible, that millions of hours have been spent on the rehearsals. What is more, despite of being similar, the compositions overcome this drawback with their multi-feature style. Which leads to a conclusion, that this material does not melt and create a shapeless jelly. The riffs pulverize, the drums are freaking fast, and the vocal sounds brilliant, with that mystic-hoarse sound.
KOMMANDANT deserve pat on the back, as they managed to record something different from all that black-religious pulp. Lets hope, that the full length material is going to be kept in this iron-icy climate.
