Six fullenght album of German power/heavy metallers WOLFS MOON brings us a solid package of stylish melodic heavy metal. As always German heavy metal is what I really like and this time – and also this time nothing has changed. After ten years of musical participation o the heavy/power metal scene, musicans of WOLFS MOON decided to play more darker (not only in concept, and lyrics) metal. Their blackened elements are a novum in their oldschool heavy metal. But dont be scared, WOLFS MOON would never play black metal – they just added new stuff to their music.
Fortunately after those changes WOLFS MOON sound stronger and heavier.

Four truly passionate musicans, more than one hour of heavy metal, and lot of good ideas. Maybe not all of them are really interesting but! each album has their own flashy moments and highlights. Those which really are Underworld Warrior and Paradise of Immortal Shadows are propably most powerful and catchy among all of eleven songs on album. Fast and furious typical power metal song Underworld Warrior is a bringer of oldschool vibe and as I think this track is a killer in a concert setlist. Moreover, next one mentioned song Paradise of Immortal Shadows has more groove and atmosphere, catchy chorus and interesing solo are features of this song. I strongly recommend to get known with these two tracks, propably they are most representative for the whole album.

Strongest point of the whole band is Carsten Pasemann. Exacly his voice. Throughout the whole album he sings middle-pitched, occasionally high-pitched vocals or even he supports himself by growls/screams. Best track which presents him as a good singer is long, song with a progressive touch called Hallowed Moonshine 9:99

Musically this album could have more and better highlights – but it havent. However, it is not bad, and if you really enjoy listening to German power/heavy metal, you might find lot of patterns you would love to. I am sure of that. Maybe after listening of Unholy darkness I would not fall in love with WOLFS MOON but for now and for future I would have positive thoughts and opinion about their creation. Who knows, maybe in future I would really appreciate this album and I might be a fan of WOLFS MOON. Nowadays I am beloved to SABATON or EDGUY, so this album and group can wait for my admire.
