'80's Metal Pioneer, Willie Basse recently mastered his new single “(Love So) Far Away” with Eddy Schreyer at Oasis Mastering. Schreyer has worked with everyone from Queen and Iggy Pop to metal legends Slayer and Thin Lizzy. The track will be available online for fans to preview in coming weeks.
“I've known Eddy since he worked at Capitol Records and mastered my first Black Sheep album to vinyl back in the 80's. His ear and taste is second to none,” commented Basse about his collaboration with the
mastering legend.
“I feel in very good company with Eddy and he's mastered for Alice in Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Religion, Chevelle, Jane's Addiction, Korn, Offspring, Queen, System of a Down, Slayer, Sevendust, Van Halen and Eric Clapton. I am very excited to work with him again.”
“(Love So) Far Away” is the new single from Basse's new album The Money Grind recently released on New Empire Media. Staying true to his his metal and rock roots, Basse has returned with 12 ear-crunching, classic metal songs that will bring Basse back to the forefront of the genre he once valiantly waved the flag for.

Basse, best known for his role as bassist/frontman for the LA based metal band, Black Sheep, who were a staple of the Hollywood Sunset Strip during the 80s metal explosion.
