VEDONIST – Interview with Vommbath

What can I say, VEDONIST is one of the best Polish crews who finally has a chance to appear on the world stage. Determined, full of self-confidence and, above all, aware of his skills slowly gain more and more recognition. Signing a contract with American label should help them. Hi Vommbath! How 's mood? Not the best weather recently, and condition of Poland's music scene is not the best either. Recently described your new material, and does not hide that fell on his page, many warm words. A same rate as your new baby?

Hello. The mood as the most battle-cry! After a bit lazy vacation, which spent mainly on contract negotiations, just entered the final stage of preparation before the autumn tour. How do I evaluate our latest album? Well, if we had done, that we have not spent.

You know what I am not only able to get over? Notably, it is time for me to wait for this disc. When two years ago we met for the first time, Gerhalt assured me that this will not last so long, until suddenly here it lasted almost two years. You can bring us why we had to wait so long for ‘’Tword’’?

You cannot hide, premiere of “The World Of Reversed Decalogue” had a long delay time. I think that what this is not recollect, have contributed to many factors, most of which positively affected the final result.

This may sound weird, but somehow you see in so VEDONIST beyond that, of course, great singing (he, he) somehow do not see your contribution to the album. Maybe I am wrong, but whether as a vocalist can interfere with material that writes Gerhalt with Bunos? Say what is the work of such material, and that in general the rest of the musicians here is the right to change the material written by Gerhalt?

The impression that you reached, certainly to a large extent is true – when more than two years ago, I joined the team, most of the work of composers and arrangements was already completed. Similarly, had the benefit of texts written by Gerhalt. In no way I dont felt the need to check if I have a chance to intervene in this material, because what the rest of the team created during the demo recordings exceptionally fit me. I have therefore appropriate vocals and thus has its own piece to the puzzle.

Believe that Poland is ready to stage musical on VEDONIST? Although the number of bands playing technical metal is a variant of several, VEDONIST clearly stands out more than not. Your self-confidence, a consistent approach to what you do, and amazing effort inserted into your music should pull out was more than a series. Despite this, many still insult you. Care such opinions supposedly your team was metal puzzle?

Frankly, not met yet with this opinion. While you must admit that I have been doing in music, you can discern the different influences, as with the rest of many attempts to do so, it does not seems to me that our style was not consistent. With the rest of puzzle seems to be a positive comparison, because if I remember correctly, this type of entertainment consisted in the fact that all the pieces fit perfectly to each other.

And say … whether on a daily basis outside work as a team, attempts, routes, listening to your own material? Think that is so awesome you can listen to it simply as a metal fan? Whether if had ‘’Tword’’, compared to other items in this genre, to whom and how would you recommend your own work?

To be honest – no. A few days ago my friend asked me if he could donate copies of our new album – responded in accordance with the truth, that I do not have a nominal value. I have listened enough of this material while working on it, not hide it, that after receiving terminally mastered version with great satisfaction I listened to the whole. As for your other questions, I think that the evaluation, comparison and recommendations to the task already belong to the same listeners and reviewers.

As you already know all the material on ‘'Tword’’ is a very complex, intense, intelligent, and extremely well-played death metal. Say, I know that the whole time you were in the production of the album. I know also that ambition in your team is one of the the most important features, but if you really VEDONIST it is intended to be a team that has presented the technical, progressive (yes) but still brutal variety of metal? Do not ever think about playing a little easier to ''call'' TV?

No. Because you know all the current artistic achievements of Vedonist, surely you know that our music is constantly evolving. This does not happen by no means the arrangements under the influence of the species' gentlemen, played for the next disc a little more rock, promised his chick that its I will sing you ballad. None of these things, the material gradually takes shape during the composing and orchestration, this is quite comfortable and honest way to make music.

Since we are talking about ‘’Tword’’, say wich song is your favorite. According to me, the best are those most thrashy, played with unmatched perfect groove and rhythm. ‘’Anus mundi’’,''Dead Monument Chimneys'', and my absolute favorite ''Apprehensive Respect’’. Maybe one of my types are also yours. Frankly, each of the new songs is in a sense, a hit, but these three are just a class in itself and a great part of the album.

My favorites are probably the last two numbers on the album, but it is only the first association – I doubt whether I was able to select one of the best plate number, or any rejected. In this respect, I think that made a whole lot of really good work, we managed to record a truly equal material.

Shortly hit the road to promote a new album. I know also that this weekend touring hitting the country is a prelude to further touring. I heard something about the routes the mainland. True to do? Maybe with some foreign star 🙂 However, who dontt like. Tour soon, so probably we will meet in Bielsko. I hope that this time on the stage, and not only he, he

As you say, pretty day is considered a short route through Poland, we're also in the course of dogadywania longer and travel further. But everything in its time, as long as the hope for the best turnout of fans and commitment during the autumn route.

When I think about VEDONIST, your team associate me with a very exhaustive and intensive playing. How do you think how many numbers are in a position to play a single concert. I know also that a new route for preparing a cross-set … and a number of interesting cover songs:) Or maybe you can tell us what we can expect.

How many numbers? A lot. None of us did not play concerts from yesterday and to the extent that the really serious art usually feel powerful fatigue, it probably gave that advice to the strike force still something. The question only is whether what? I doubt that any of us have ambitions of setting Guinness record, the longest death-metal concert. With regard to the audience, we are a team, which a lot of concerts and willing to return in place where we played well – a deficiency may be even mentioned here.
