Among all awesome swedish power metal bands including ZONARIA, TIMELESS MIRACLE, EVERGREY, PERSUADER and rising gods of the scene SABATON, there is also a small gem of the genre called HARMONY. Bit more progressive than the others, they are mostly influenced by EVERGREY or quite simmilar guys from EYEFEAR. Sure, they have their own identity but in their music there is a big taste of those two mentioned. And as a conclusion, if you are a fan of those, grab HARMONY!
To be honest with you all, I want to say that in my opinion swedish power metal in overall, is lot more better than the german. Southern power metal mates are so typical and so cute. Just to compare, the scandinavian metal is not so typical, and so characteristic. Swedisch metalheads in their bands are much more oriented in power, heavyness, and of course in various melodies. Speed and technique is only a bonus for the other important features. This differnce makes HARMONY quite unique and fresh, and HARMONY, maybe not so known, but still awesome is simply better than the others in the genre.
But lets come back to HARMONY. These guys are existing as a band since 2000. Meantime of their capacity on the scene, they have realeased one full lenght album, and an ep. Their brand new album called Chapter II: Aftermath, is a good example of modern heavy metal with various melodic backgrounds created by synthesisers. And in my opinion all who are belowed to scandinavian metal, or heavy metal in overall may try this album. There are no weak points. Really, believe me.Clean production, quite massive wall of riffs, fancy rhythms, and tons of clever melodies. Just add to this really good singing style of Hernik Bĺth, progressive rock/metal ish, tons of emotions and passion and there you go. In result you receive HARMONY. Easy, right?
Most of the material from Chapter II: Aftermath is quite fast. There are some exceptional tracks like the ballad Silently we fade, when the templo is much slower, or just keeping slower, but fast paced tempo, some guitar shredding, and of course great keyboard background are ruling for most of time. It is not a bat thing, hah, for me it is a plus. A strong positive. Indeed.
So pick this cd and feel free to listen it loud! Or even louder than you can. It is worth of it.
