Deathcore in the medium pace? Throughout the whole duration of the album? Is this possible? Yes! At last, a team that can bedevil me their massivity, weight and sound concrete. What a pleasure to hear such sounds. For those who are not in the subject, THE ACACIA STRAIN, is a deathcore band and they dont impact even as their colleagues in the BELAY MY LAST, and ALL SHALL PERISH. THE ACACIA STRAIN presents its own slower, heavier and far vision of deathcore, or whether core I have ever heard.
Brutality and gravity until pour out with loudspeakers. I am in a position to risk a statement that THE ACACIA STRAIN, is one of the toughest bands on earth. And especially in the category of deathcore. Whats interesting, not only a burden let us Americans, but also technique, and their own very strange groove. This groove, which is somewhere there in structure of songs, subcutaneously, snatches the listener, and require a headbang. Although to slow headbanging but sill.
Riffs as usual in such music are crushing, and they strike with great force. It just should not be a surprise to anyone, but so that all the time? During the whole album, the number after number, listener is truly rolled, like a roller, go after him, and did not give any chance to release from the body of monster? You can try to resist, but it is there a reason for doing this, does it have any sense? No there isnt. And it is precisely awesome 😀
The first time I have to deal with the so-modern heavy band, and sincerely I like to converse with their music. On the face of the ear, ha, ha, this album may seem boring, but in reality is completely different. Continent, is an complex album, and multilayered, which will surprise you with each playing something, surely you will be discovering something new. Me personally like most of those hidden melodies, which are not jumping out so easily in the ears, but all are available, and a cause of association with Sweden. Moreover, clearly shown by the most melodic and for me the best, instrumental song The Behemoth Brilliant, melodic, spacious, epic and well arranged song. Im wondering do they play this at concerts.
If you're looking for a strong dose of heavy metal THE ACACIA STRAIN is just for you. Powerful roaring singer, average pace, precise, almost surgical work guitars, concrete sound, and brilliant broken rhythms these are features of THE ACACIA STRAIN, I think you should be absolutely satisfied.
