Oh god!. Finally really awesome, German metalcore. In recent times in the country of our western neighbors I watched a little dryness, or rather the lack of really good band which will be exploring new divisions, or will refresh metalcore by rechanging an old formula with new one. Finally, after quite a long period of awaiting, they arrived … A PALE GREY SCENE. From my first, almost virgin listening of them on their myspace, they bought me literally in 100%. Malcontents would probably say that it (A PALE GREY SCENE) is nothing new. Those kinds of opinion I have in a really deep consideration, and continuing speaking about My Ocean, a debut ep of this German metalcore band makes me genuinely audio-hearable pleasure.
Comparision? I will not. For what? A PALE GREY SCENE made their own personal style which is a combination of Scandinavian melodic death metal with metalcore, which once again does not prove anything about, but in some ways the result of this connection, they have clarified their own little style bit different of typical German metalcore. Sometimes they even sound more than American metalcore band, but unfortunately only at mentioned times. Ok fairly vague, it's time to CONCRETES. As will be implicitly A PALE GREY SCENE play with strong melodic ish, quite intensive, and above all brutally. You wouldnt be worng. Add to that frequent clean, but not abused vocals, a few more catchy melodies, but only for dense diversify blastbeats, and a rather obvious breakdowns. The latter are just not as much and as often exposed as in all other bands, which I love to hear. The goal is how to combine!
So as a young senior team, A PALE GREY SCENE falls directly unexpectably well. Great ideas, fantastic sound production (really flawless), quite good musicans that regardless of whether the play really brutal trudge forward with the blast, or beautiful, and so commercial can surprise. In particular, all three are providing with their vocals (Olivier, Robert, Ian). I do not know whether only the Olivier sings cleanor not. Anyway all three Olivier, Robert and Ian deserve sincere praise. Clearly after the hearing of this so short material I want more. Definitely more. This being less than sixteen minutes album raised me and the pressure has meant that these four rather long not come out of my player. Make sure to check their myspace – there is waiting for you a nice, sound surprise. What? Two songs from ep including an absolute hit – the title track My Ocean. If you like As I Lay Dying, Parkway Drive, Fear my thoughts and even All Shall Perish, you must have this!
