Long Beach, California based Revolution Mother have signed with Ferret Music.
The band has just completed recording their second full-length Rollin With Tha Mutha to be released on July 6th in Europe.
The band is fronted by Pro Skateboarder Mike Vallely and manned by some of Long Beachs most notorious punk and hardcore veterans including past members of Mean Season and Outspoken.
Commenting on the signing Vallely said We were looking for a home that we could get in at the ground level and that had an audience that would appreciate us. Ferret has that built in and also a great track record with bands that we respect.
Produced by Fred Archambault (Avenged Sevenfold, Valiant Thorr) the new album follows the sludgy and thick riff mayhem of their first but on a more developed scale.
Vallely says of the bands sound I think we really found our groove as a band with the last three or four songs we recorded on the last record and we found our groove live playing the Warped Tour (2007). At the end of the day we are a rock n roll band. We have hardcore, punk and metal influences but really we're just playing overdriven blues.
In addition to Warped Tour the band has completed U.S. Tours with Tiger Army, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Every Time I Die and Danzig as well as a European Tour with Funeral For A Friend.
The band will announce a summer US tour around album release shortly.
