RUDRA to release fifth album “Brahmavidya: Transcendental I”

If their worldwide critically acclaimed first part of their trilogy album gave them the recognition that they truly deserves, their newest and fifth over-all album will put these Vedic metal founders among the ranks of the geniuses and top bands of metal in the world.

On “Brahmavidya: Transcendental I” RUDRA continued on what they left on their previous album but no true disciple of metal can deny the great leap in progress in songwriting and musicianship that the band has achieved on this over an hour album. If “Brahmavidya: Primordial I” is themed around the Upanishads (Hindu scriptures that constitute the core teachings of Vedanta), “Brahmavidya: Transcendental I” is all about “Smrti” that literally means “that which is remembered” (refers to a specific body of Hindu religious scripture) and remembered will surely RUDRA be as their unique way of incorporating traditional Indian music into extreme blackened death metal mixed with subtle amount of Sanskrit chants and mantras will not only elevate their status in metal but more importantly it will evoke a challenge to our claustrophobic metal scene to find a way to make metal as refreshingly unique again.
