MERAUDER „God is I”

Merauder's new album “God is I” is like a kick to the heavy metal teeth. This album rocks you from beginning to end. The band hails from Brooklyn New York city and it shows. The hardcore riffs are spectacular and the vocals are simply outstanding. After listening to metal for a long time it all seems to blend together but not this band. It is simply one of the best put together albums I have ever heard. This band has been around since the ninties and you can tell that they're going to be around for a lot longer. They find their own sound in the world of hardcore heavy metal which is no easy feat.

Every member in this band is on the top of their game and you can tell becuase they all fall into each other perfectly. The vocals are a perfect blend of hardcore growl and voice by Jorge Rosado. Heart pounding guitar riffs are spot on and reminicent of the modern metal movement courtesy of the Darian Polach and Dave Stafford duo. Bass is handled spectacularly by Drew Smerdon. Finally the backbone of every band and heavy freaking metal band is banged out ruthlessly by Bobby Blood.

This is Merauders's sixth album since 1995 and they havent lost a beat. From beginning to end they deliver a stellar performance that does not seem like one long song. Which is what you would get from most metalcore bands. Truly this is an album that you can fall in love with and listen to over and over as you get pumped up for a night of hardcore rocking out.
