TARJA TURUNEN´s keyboardist featured on new THE ETERNAL album

Australian atmospheric/gothic/doom metallers THE ETERNAL have issued the following update:

“Talented Finnish keyboard player Maria Ilmoniemi, who we met on our recent tour in the USA (she was in TARJA's [TURUNEN] band) is now at her studio in Helsinki, Finland, tracking keyboards for our new album.

“Maria has almost completed her masters degree in music and has an amazing range of digital and analogue keyboards, so we are very lucky to have her onboard.

“Due to distance, it's hard to make Maria a full-time member of THE ETERNAL, so she will be the invisible fourth member on this record and also the first female in what has very much been a boys club up until now.

“We are very excited to be working with her and we are sure the results will be fantastic.”

THE ETERNAL will enter 301 Studios in Byron Bay, Australia on December 3 to begin recording the new album for an early 2010 release. More information will be made available soon.
