WHITE WIZZARD working on new album, discuss upcoming North American tour

Los Angeles traditional metal heroes, WHITE WIZZARD recently finished recording the full-length followup to their HIGH SPEED GTO mini-album with producer, Ralph Patlan (MEGADETH, UFO, MICHAEL SCHENKER). Entitled OVER THE TOP, the album is currently set for a February 2010 release. With the album now deep in the mixing stage, bassist, Jon Leon sheds light on the major progress that has been made thus far:

“We are putting the finishing touches on the mix of the new WHITE WIZZARD album, OVER THE TOP. We had a few equipment malfunctions and glitches along the way, but in the end we have made it through the chaos and we have an album we feel very strongly about. Our engineer Ralph Patlan has done a great job in both the tracking and mixing.”

To coincide with the release of OVER THE TOP, WHITE WIZZARD will embark on a major tour with folk metal favorites KORPIKLAANI, TYR and SWASHBUCKLE in January of the coming year. The band left fans a message on their MySpace page proclaiming their excitement for the tour and everything else to come in 2010:

“WHITE WIZZARD is proud to announce its first of many tours in 2010. We will be going all over North America in sleet and snow to play with these amazing bands. It is the first of many tours in 2010 to promote our forthcoming full length album OVER THE TOP. Look for it on EARACHE RECORDS in feb 2010. Look forward to seeing our fans and making new ones too. Here is to a killer 2010!!”
