PORNSTAR AIRLINES – Interview with Paskkal

Pornstar Airlines are a band that causes a lot of controversy recently due to their interest in adult industry. The singer Paskkal was so kind as to explain their activity from his point of view.

So, at the beginning, since I couldn't really find any proper information about Pornstar Airlines on the net, could you introduce your band a bit to our readers?

Pornstar Airlines is basically a rock-band playing party-rock (actually a singer looking for new members since we parted ways).

Plus, we do interviews with pornstars and adult-models, like Penthouse-Pets and Playboy-Centerfolds and others who fit in the picture.

And we like teasing our enviers who don't get in touch with hot women. It's like a slap in the face for the so called “serious” musicians who just CAN'T live Rock n Roll and a slap on the butt of the women we like.

There will be some cool other stuff in the future.

Have you ever heard of Europe's biggest erotic-fair, the VENUS in Berlin?

The last time was in OCT 2009 and it was the first year they didn't give out press-passes for webzines anymore because there were just TOO MUCH of them.

Except ONE.. guess who that was… Yep, Pornstar Airlines.

I'm fuckin' proud of that.

So, where did you come to the idea to connect your music with porno-business?

It came by chance. I was watching The Bloodhound Gang's video “the ballad of Chasey Lain” thinking “man, I know a lot of the most beautiful women in the world and a lot of adult-models. How can I bring that together with our music?” And then the scales fell from my eyes: I figured it would be cool doing really naughty interviews with them, in some kinda Metal-Sludge-ish way. So I made a few phone calls and wrote some emails. The rest is history.

The funniest thing was: i didn't tell it to my band-members. I started to release those interviews on myspace.com and they didn't recognize it for a long time since they didn't visit the site too often. They just took a look at the site superficially now and then being happy about the growing amount of fans and hits.

When Sebastian (the former bass-player) was told about what's going on he wrote a friend request to HIS OWN BAND going “this is cool, I wanna add that.”

How does it affect ordinary people? You're not really known for this in Europe, but I guess it's a bit different across America…

Well, Pornstar Airlines IS to polarize,IS to provoke. I think it's pretty cool offending people with legal stuff. I like pushing buttons.

We don't produce porn or display it. We just do interviews with adult-models in a very cool and funny way.

But when it comes down to the nitty-gritty doing what I want, that is.

Provoking and polarizing is one thing but not the main-power.

It's just the attitude I have.

I never was like the other kids. When I was a kid and a teenager I bred poison dart frogs, like Dendrobates tinctorius “azureus”, the former Dendrobates azureus. They were pretty expensive at that time, like 200 bucks each.

So I made a lot of money when I was a teenager that allowed me to travel all over the place being a Rock-DJ in a lot of countries and making extra money while my school-mates had some terrible vacation-jobs at some factories and stuff like that…:-D

Of course a lot of them laughed at me being a frog- and reptile-breeder but in the end I won.

If people laughing at you doing things that you believe they are cool try to quit or cut down those relationships and look for supportive people. That s what I did.

When you're a kid and you get laughed at by some ghetto-kids but getting strong support by scientists it's not hard to choose whose friend you wanna be.

I am simply not on Earth to satisfy anyones needs, cuz I'm nobody's Mama (one of my most favourite quotations).

I know a lot of people who live for OTHERS even if they don't like them.

Putting effort in your enemies´ impressions is something that I'd never do.

I was friends with that tattoo-artist years ago who made up stories like having swam through a part of the ocean on an air mattress smuggling drugs.

Would you believe shit like that, especially when someone tells that kinda stories all the time???

That s pretty pathetic. And he wrecks himself by hanging out with people who need that kinda impressions to like him.

I don't need that. So if someone doesn't like Pornstar Airlines and the whole thing that comes with it, I just cut those people off.

There were people in my entire life that disagreed with whatever I did.

And even if you're a so-called upright citizen people will talk about you: “This guy is soooo normal,there must be some skeletons in his closet!”

Hating pornography is pretty sick: I mean BOXING for example is a SPORT. You see people hurting themselves seriously. Can you imagine that sexual acting could become part of the Olympic Games? LOL, I guess not.

So why is displaying sex a taboo but injuring people is accepted by the public? It's just some retty sick religion-based thing.

Well and what about people in your immediate environment? Do they support you? If I were your wife, I guess I wouldn't:)

Pretty supportive. All of them. You may not belive it, but especially the GIRLS are way more supportive than the boys!

Girls like what we do, they can read sexual topics that are funny displayed without going on a real PORN-Page. It's basically a music-page what we have.

We have about 45% female fans!

But a lot of ROCK-musicians,especially the ones I spent a lot of time with in the last years fuckin' HATE us. All the hate-mails I receive are ONLY from those Rock-musicians.

For simply one reason: They've been playing in front of like 150 people when they have a gig and this is going on for 4 years without any chance for them to get bigger and more famous. Envy, you know.

Particularly a lot of the “wild” punk-rockers have a problem with it cuz they simply don't live Rock n Roll. Being the sweet-wild-ish rebellings from next-door that they are, they can shock the 50-year-old housewife with their cute-evil-ish punk-rock…

Remember when Mötley Crüe or Guns n Roses said they don t wanna have anything to do with the scene? They were pretty right.

You say YOU wouldn't support it. That s the reason why one ex-member isn't in PSAL anymore. He's pussy-whipped and his girlfriend takes control over his whole life, she even has his passwords to his email- and myspace-accounts so she can control his female-fan-mail…

As if someone could prevent someone from cheating by that…

A couple of weeks ago,someone asked me: “You ll never be taken seriously by other musicians AS a musician with that image. Don't you wanna be acknowledged by them?”

Nope, I don't. Has Mick Jagger, Madonna or Nikki Sixx been acknowledged as a good musician? Pornstar Airlines is music for the fans, not musicians-music.

Who was the biggest star you've ever interviewed? What was the cooperation like?

Paris Hilton. It was very easy. Some friends from the biz arranged it and we did it by phone. She personally picked it up when I called her and she even knew my name and site. She does a lot to support her imgae, LOL !

Other than that: Jenna Jameson (but forgot the dictaphone in the car of a “friend”. Then he tried to blackmail me, so I've sued him. Jenna was pissed off, too, and didn't wanna do it again, of course. Later she calmed down but being a mother of twins she doesn't see any sense of supporting her porn-image anymore. Tough luck.),

Ron Jeremy who took a couple of hours for our meeting.

There are a lot of famous persons like Sara jay, Evil Jared Hasselhoff and Nikki Benz.

And, of course, there's Debi Diamond. I was looking through some myspace profiles back in that days and saw that Debi Diamond has US in her toplist !!! I mean we were pretty unknown at that time, we just released the 6th interview!

For me it was like HEAVEN. I mean when I was a teenager I had a lot of “fun” watching her movies and then I found out that she, being the most famous adult-model of the 80ies and 90ies before Jenna Jameson has appeared, is a FAN of MINE …How cool is that? I wrote her immediatly and we're like friends now.

Cooperation is always great with US-models, models from Eastern Europe and some UK ones. German models are a pain in the ass: unfriendly and stuck-up as Hell. Only Biggi Bardot, Vvian Schmitt and Annette Schwarz have been nice to me.

Tell me, what are the benefits of interviewing pornstars?

Friendships sometimes, Promotion, of course, a cool image of showing living Rock n Roll ( the word “Rock n Roll” means “to fuck” actually, but in a more “nicer” way…)

I looooove pornstars: It's their attitude: “Accept what I'm doing or get out of my life. I decide what I wanna do, NOT you!”

Do you meet your interviewees in person?

Yes, sometimes. Most of them wanna meet personally but it's not possible all the time. Sometimes by email or by phone.

Smoke signals were sent, too, when the models have indian inheritance… 😉

Now, would you tell me something about the name of your band? The word Pornstar is pretty clear, but Airlines?

I had sex with a flight-attendant above the Atlantic Ocean. After the trip I told a friend about it. He told me he took the same airline, had sex with a stewardess, too (a different one) and saw a porn-model aboard.

I said: “What a porn-airline!”

A couple of weeks later I saw a friend of mine showed me his CD, a own production, having a song called “pornrock airlines” on it.

There it was again!

I played with those words, the rest is history.

I guess music can't be your full-time job. So what do you do? Now I expect a job like a stunt man or war photographer…

Close. I'm a stunt photographer since being a stunt man would hurt myself all the time and being a war photographer I would GET hurt all the time, so I chose to combine it living less dangerously…

Hey, hanging out with pornstars can be dangerous, too: they bite sometimes…

No, being a studied biologist I create show-aquariums and -terrariums and take care of them with everything that comes with it (technical supplies,animals,plants,…).

I've been taking care of that since I was 6! I really love it and will do it until I die.

Sometimes I do management for female newcomers in the adult-industry and it gets more, so we'll see…

It's hard to make a living from music. But it's a passion, so I keep doing it.

Who influenced you the most in composing music?

Everything and everyone. I listen to all styles of music, but my heart beats strongest for 80ies-glam-n-sleaze-metal though.

Mötley Crüe takes a big influence. Our music is for fans from Mötley Crüe, Guns 'n Roses and Turbonegro.

Now Pornstar Airlines are missing a few members, if I'm right. So how does the situation look like? Is there anything looming?

Yes, as I said above: A new line-up is needed. Maybe the third one will last longer. The hardest thing was always finding guitar-players. Most of those who applied started to re-arrange the existing songs and acting bossy!!! That s pretty impudent. Why do you wanna be in this band if the music sucks so much for you? Do you wanna nail a pornstar? Oh,poor boy… Getting keys out of a piece of wood doesn't make you a God!

When can we expect some record? Foremost there's of course the problem with members, nevertheless do you already have enough material?

As soon as there s a new band together. A lot of approved songs just need to be recorded.
