Guitarist Randy Weitzel of Los Angeles metal band FLATLINE has issued the following message regarding his departure from the band:
“It was with regret that I quit FLATLINE. Personally, FLATLINE was a band of brothers who had their issues at times like any other band that is irrelevant. I made the decision to leave the band because we were not touring and there was no more label support or any more albums in our future. Flatlines contract with Stand and Deliver was up, and the label decided not to exercise the option for 2 more years. I have a kick-ass project I am working on with some notable names in the metal biz, including members of Flatline. I have no reason to slander Matt Polena or the label, but would like the record to be set straight. Matt and Stand and Deliver have no control over any part of the current FLATLINE line-up, and I am proudly moving on in my own metal career.
FLATLINE released Pave The Way in 2008, which was heralded as a breakthrough album in the underground world of metal.
No word yet on who will be replacing the departed Weitzel.
