ORANGE THE JUICE are about to start recording their second album. The title of the much-anticipated follower to their well received debut “You Name It” is going to be “The Messiah Is Back”, and it is hardly going to be anything conventional. The band are also planning on inviting a few guests, some of whom have already willingly agreed to participate in the project.
Stage One of the recording process has been slated to take place in a movie theater, mainly due to the place’s unique acoustics, which are going to be an important factor defining the sound of the album. Unlike in the case of “You Name It”, all the instruments recorded during Stage One (drums, bass, double bass, piano, keyboards, guitar) are going to be recorded quasi live. -What we find really important this time around is capturing and somehow physically registering the emotions accompanying the music. It is going to be a multi-track session but we are all going to be playing together while recording the tracks. Otherwise we’d hardly be able to convey what’s really going on in and between us when we are playing together – says the band’s guitarist Dawid Lewandowski. -We’ve never tried recording stuff that way, but we are feeling confident that that’s the way to go this time – adds the band’s singer Konrad Zawadzki.
The sound engineer responsible for the Stage One recording is Piotr “Falko” Rychlec, who has worked with Justyna Steczkowska, Stanislaw Sojka, Matragona, Tolhaje, Zbigniew Holdys or Zakopower, to name just a few.

It is worth reminding that the band’s debut release “You Name It” was rated the best album in the “Best Breakthrough Artist of the Year” category by 411mania.com – one of the world’s biggest independent music services.
