Friendly label TSM/SLW Promotion gave me to a review the next disc. This time it is the newest album of Canadian goddess of rock. And thanks to “Monsters” I got to know ROBIN BROCK
Generally we know, that some unpleasant incidents in life inspire or help in process of creative artistic skill
In case of Robin this was the fracture of ankle on 7 pieces (during mountain ride). The incident began the avalanche of musical ideas
All bad things transformed to good things
This is great art – our negative emotions and experiences transform to something positive and creative
I think about the album “Monsters” as about something positive, something which gives strength to working and make us stronger
People says – if some things don't kill us then the things will make us stronger
I think, that the music from “Monsters” is such like Robin from one side she is strong, dynamic, brave, energetic and sometimes is quarrelsome as well as she is full of charm, sensibility and femininity All men know that a woman is changeable
Obviously the arrangements are very guitar. They oscillate in different regions of rock music and catch in places to melodious pop-rock subjects and also to dynamic hard-rock motives and even to heavy metal insertions. Therefore the tracks are pretty various in relation with rhythm, melody, intensity, climate and emotions. Anyway the emotions are very important in life of woman (particularly) Therefore the different emotional experiences like anger, satisfaction and nostalgia appear among various sounds. Besides here the musing and reflexion also appear
Generally I think that the whole is very acceptable. The every song possesses characteristic riff and mood as well as first of all it falls into ears easily. This is nice music for fans of DEF LEPPARD or BON JOVI…
