Here I have debut album of Slovakian metallers, released by the musicians…

I wonder why DARCHAIC numbered the tracks so oddly: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34. Is it any hidden numerology?… “Spirit Black Heretic” is debut album of this predatory trio. In principle it is hard to me to concretely classify the kind of their music. It looks like that musicians concentrate on Thrash Metal patents mostly… The dynamic, heavy the and often muffled guitar riffs, the melodious solos as well as the strong hits of drums create the basis of compositions. However the aggressive and predatory vocal tone (especially in connection with blasts) sometimes associates with Death Metal solutions. And when the climatic keyboards in background come to this (and the vocal becomes more mad) then the associations go to Black Metal motives.

The music of “Spirit Black Heretic” is pretty predatory. Some phrases sound like the musicians would be from Sweden, and concretely from Goteborg (playing sharply and melodic in style of AT THE GATES, IN FLAMES in some moments). Though here also there are not the lack of slower accents (like Doom Metal or Gothic Metal) as well as of melancholy subjects (almost balladic), in which we will hear the clean guitars, the calm keyboards and even the whispers.

The music of “Spirit Black Heretic” is imbued dark atmosphere… However I would prefer the sound of guitars would be somewhat better.
