Before I heard the album of DYNAHEAD “Antigen” I earlier watched the video clip “Layers of Days”… The music flowing from the video clip sounded interesting and very contemporarily… The band proposed me to writing the review their the newest album “Atnigen”. I suggested myself this one work and I was interested the rest of composition… Although this the newest album came into being on breakthrough 2007-2008 and it was released in 2008 year… Was it the wave of promotion too weak at that time? It looks like at present is the second wave of promotion… The Brazilian album was released in form of digipck and it contains really good piece of music. Anyway Brazilian Metal-Core scene always acted strongly and the scene still act on high level. DYNAHEAD is the proof of that… Moreover there is the important fact – The album was mastered by James Murphy… So the music has to be brilliant…

Music of DYNAHEAD is mature. Their proposals for heavy music oscillate in strongly strained borders of Thrash Metal and they enclose the regions of present Hardcore as well as the zone of Progressive Metal. Those musical trips cause that compositions are varied thematically very. The surprising motifs (sometimes characteristic for Jazz Fusion or Folk) appear many times here among heavy and very dynamic serves. Some guitar phrases associate with SEPULTURA (particularly the Metal-Core accents), the other phrases with GOJIRA (the technical and heavy riffs) and even with TESTAMENT (the classic thrash metal subjects) or with CYNIC (the climatical Jazz-Metal motifs). Many changes of intensity with compiled rhythms and pretty complex solo parties are in this music among calmer climatical balladic-psychedelic elements. The vocals also are multicoloured here obviously – from aggressive growlings through melodious hoarse singing until clean vocals…

The whole is simultaneously very heavy and melodious generally. And first of all it is very technical. “Antigen” creates perfect fusion of heavy playing with technical and melodious subjects.
