The disc of SHW “E-life” is the first album, which I have destined to the review from over twenty discs from Italian label Alkemist Fanatix Europe. I do not remember how many time passed from our last co-operation, although I remember that Alkemist Fanatix Europe attracts Italian artists who present not commonplace music in wide comprehended Rock style. With the music of SHW I met first time when I reviewed their first album.
I have not too many experiences in describing of Alternative Rock, because I mostly listen such music during of writing review. Although “E-life” presents itself very pleasantly. The contained music from the disc is very melodious, calm and very romantic with small moments of stronger guitar hits (however in Rock meaning). The arrangements spread gentle atmosphere full of melancholy, a bit of darkness, and even bring in a bit anxiety that is reinforced by keyboards-strings accents. And gentle singing freely glides over the guitar-percussive variations and sometimes undergoes to stronger emotions. Though more powerful vocal gusts also appear in compositions.
I will sum up – “E-life” is complex thematically. The every work contains special motifs, although the climate of the whole is very coherent… nightly and lightly psychedelic. Maybe some motifs I associate with U2.
