PICTORIAL WAND is next Prog-Rock band was sended by Canadian label Unicorn Digital. This is the second album of the band which is the concept-album portraying the relationships between generations
But I will concentrate on the music which is very pictorial, spatial here and obviously very romantic as in Progressive Rock We will find here the mixture of many tastes (the sounds) and ingredients (the instruments). The mixture gently stirs in a head after drinking and leaves pleasant as well as nostalgic aftertaste and desire of tasting it in larger quantity…
The arrangements portray many guitar-keyboards tales, calm melodies, melancholic-nostalgic accents and sometimes heavier hits, complex rhythms as well as the emotional exultations and moments of musing The analog keys give retro-sound for the whole. The strings and the flute call somewhat folk climate. And amazing solos cause that such music raises outright. The beautiful melodies cause a delight and they lead into a world of deep feelings. However the multicoloured (male-female) vocals give larger spread to the whole The music sometimes sounds like a Rock Opera or a Rock Musical full of various stories and the sung dialogues
Generally “Face Of Our Fathers” is pretty calm album (from the point of view of fan's Metal) in spite of temporary emotional impulses.
