THE ACCUSED Add Warren Pease to Line-Up

Yesterday, veteran hardcore thrashers The Accused announced that Warren Pease (pronounced “war 'n' peace”) is the newest addition to their line-up, replacing ex-drummer Nick Uttech. The band released a collective statement welcoming Pease to the group:

“He's a relatively young chap at the tender age of 25. Then again, with THE ACCUSED founding guitarist, Tommy Niemeyer rounding the corner heading into half-century territory, who isn't young to that old fucker? Warren, or 'Andy' as he's affectionately referred to most noticeably at first brings his youthful enthusiasm and perpetual grin to THE ACCUSED. But don't let the friendly face fool you into thinking this is some run-of-the-mill, trigger-tapping tom-tom-tickler. No! The young Mr. Pease possesses an absolutely mind-boggling, pile-driving, double-kick drumming style that will make you wonder if he's got extra appendages hidden away back there somewhere. Having the freshly-plucked Warren A. Pease now on drums will up the ante for all who are dealt-in when THE ACCUSED bring their horror-filled freak show to the stage sometime early 2011. The Kings of Splatter Rock are back with a vicious and brutal hardcore attack.”

Congratulations to Warren Pease and The Accused, and good luck with the new arrangement!

In other news, the video for “Hemline,” the seventh track on The Curse of Martha Splatterhead, will premiere later this month. Check The Accused's official website for more details as they come. The video, shot in three West Coast US locations, will feature Martha Splatterhead, the lovely lady on the cover of the cover of the album. Stay tuned for the imminent premiere!
