“Twilight Of Darkness” is debut album of Italian horde, which has almost 7 years of practice. The album was recorded in years 2007-2008. And therefore STARLIGHT EXTINCTION not belong to fertile bands. However at least them album is well-thought-out and mature in their compositions. The arrangements are full of power and sharp serves with considerable dose of melodiousness as well as with syncretic elements of different species of heavy music.

The main building material of arrangements are Thrash/Death Metal themes were folded by heavy guitar phrases, sharp, specific vocals as well as by strong rhythmical section. This mixture of Thrash/Death Metal is replenished by Hardcore accents and even Black Metal breaths appearing in characteristic vocals, in serves of guitar and rhythmics. The whole oscillates among aggressiveness and melody which are audible in vocal parties and in guitar tacts. The band used 7-string guitars and 6-string bass. This doubtlessly caused, that arrangements are more powerful and complex technically.

The album contains many interesting solutions, the changes of pace and the varied vocals. I sometimes have impression, that Italians are inspired by Scandinavian Melodious Death Metal in style CHILDREN OF BODOM, CEREMONIAL OATH or DARK TRANQUILLITY.
