The co-originator of ZEROZONIC is Daniel “Peisy” Olaisen (he was concert-guitarist of SATYRICON in 90 years of XX century). The musicians from TRISTANIA and GREEN CARNATION also played in ZEROZONIC in previous years. And the rest of musicians also have experience from others bands. So, ZEROZONIC unites experienced guys. Well, let's listen the musical offer from the second album, which sent me Marjo from Metal Revelation.
We here encounter the ravishing Groove Metal playing. And the influences of PANTERA on the works of ZEROZONIC are clearly audible – the heavy, dynamic riffs, noisy growl, melodious recitations, the sung vocals and the powerful energy. Additionally it is enriched by Hardcore screams with onomatopoeias as well as by the various samples and the sounds of keys. But the calmer phrases also appear among this furious massacre and create the climatic solos, passages of clean guitars and balladic singings. And these calmer interventions bring in the bit of melancholy and give the rest from the storm of heavy hits.
Despite all, the album “God Damn, Better, Best” is horrible aggressive and crushing. Someone would say, that music is a fucking demolition and it tears off a head (from almost continuous headbanging). ZEROZONIC is the powerful dose of adrenaline.
