Now the time has come for somewhat retrospection in connection to ALGHAZANTH , because some time ago I described them last album “Vinum Intus”. “Wreath of Thevetat” has already 4 years but I think that the album still is worth of the attention, especially for fanatic fans of Black Metal…
Listening of “Wreath of Thevetat” I affirm myself that ALGHAZANTH stabilized their path long ago. The path is for today. This album is older but still is equally excellent (in category of Black Metal)… The band portrays to us the predatory Black Metal with considerable breath of melancholy. Though the structure of compositions has leaning to mad riffs, strong drums and demonic screams but the climatic keys, melodious solos also appear among this diabolic massacre and show dark madness, fury with sadness and despair…
I feel here the breath of old BATHORY and DIMMU BORGIR. ALGHAZANTH sometimes goes to the side of black-metal's classicism, presenting fury and speed… The climate of “Wreath of Thevetat” is very monumental and additionally the keys with clean guitars create the music more spatial which has more influence for emotions.
The music ALGHAZANTH is able wildly tear for shreds as well as brings in sadness and suffering.
