The Italian PHAITH lazed by over 10 years from rise of the band, hahaha…. I will not penetrate why members waited with recording of first album so long… PHAITH immerse themselves in classic Metal getting inspirations from JUDAS PRIEST and METALLICA but not cloning their music.
The album contains 10 very energetic songs with strong kick and with melody, with sharp guitar subjects, with strong rhythmical section, with strong solos… And it is well in Heavy Metal, although I feel more similarity to HELLOWEEN than to above mentioned bands… Maybe therefore that vocal is high in moments of burst of passion… But when the vocal becomes more sharp and in connection with sharp and dynamic guitars bring PHAITH closer in side of JUDAS PRIEST really. However PHAITH attempted somewhat the vocal variety with the emphasizing growling and the clean singing… The gentle parties of piano show the additional variety.
Obviously there are the balladic accents where is audible the clearly influence of METALLICA (both in the guitar arrangements as well as in the vocal phrases).
Anyway PHAITH presents classic Metal, predatory but and melodious and somewhat contemporary…
