The Italian veterans from RAW POWER have the thirty on a nape. Their account reinforces over 20 releases and the musicians continually are in the musical world and they come back with new twelfth album “Resuscitate”. The disc contains 25 works and additionally the band also serves to us two cover-songs of THE STOOGES (“I Wanna Be Your Dog” and “Raw Power”) which harmonize with the aggression and the energy of reviewed album in well-thought-out style.

The musicians try to stay faithful for their rebellious roots and they connect the elements of old-school Hardcore with the energy of Punk aggression. I am not follower of this type of music but I declare that compositions from “Resuscitate” do not tire me. And rather they give solid energetic kick. This powerful dose of aggression lasts almost 50 minutes and it illustrates for us the plenitude of Italian veterans' creation. The fans of band had to wait until 7 years for this album (the last album “Still Screaming” was released in 2003 year). The average of track's length does not exceed two minutes but the every song boils by energetic riffs as well as the quick pace (obtruded by the rhythmical work of drums). The vocal oscillates around traditional Punk climate with Hardcore's aggression. It causes that songs from the album are closed among the unambiguous kind and they do not go out to others styles of music.

The album is marked by the unusual spontaneity of compositions as well as the sensible texts – suitably arranged on the vocal line. Of course on the album did not lack also the guitar's solos reminding the climate RAW POWER from earlier albums.

I will say sincerely that I did not expect the juicy storm of destructive riffs or the mad work of drums when I got in my hands this disc I created vision about the band before I heard the music. I thought about the loose and harmonic album with bit of Punk energy being the finial of the band's works. But I have to declare – the album “Resuscitate” surprised me favorably despite my inborn dislike to this type of music.

I am interesting… What will Italian veterans surprise us in their next release (which I hope it will appear soon)?
