Issar was born in 3rd june 1964. He started with music at the age thirteen playing the harmonica then at fourteen started with guitar and accordion.At the age of nineteen Issar switched to bass guitar and double bass. After studying with privet teachers and at the music academy in Tel Aviv Issar travelled to the Hague Holland where he studied music for three years at the Royal conservatory. After returning home Issar got a job as a double bass player at the opera orchestra in Tel Aviv, five years later he quitted in order to find his way as a film and theater composer. In 2008 he was nominated for an Emmy award for the music he wrote for the HBO documentary film “To Die in Jerusalem” directed by Hilla Medalia.Issar continued to write music for movies and theatre plays and took a position as a double bass player at the Israel Chamber Orchestra. The book “Perdido street station” by China Mieville was a great inspiration to this album, and the music is a tribute to the progressive music he used to hear since he was a young man along with classic influences. Issar wrote all the music and lyrics and plays all the instruments except the violinand the drums, as well as recording and mixing in his home studio.
