Music: Post Hardcore
Duration: 48:47 minutes (13 tracks)
Country: Italy
BLAME belongs to bands of New Wave. So their music is the result of several species of heavy Rock music. More and more bands go away from the classic sorts of Rock music and create the fusion of many different species. Such is the case of BLAME. I suspect that this is the result of fascination more than one kinds of Rock.
In the music of BLAME are clearly audible the influences of Hardcore – its heavy and dynamic (sometimes in Punk Rock's style) guitars and sharp vocals. However, some emotional expressions evidence about the influence of Emo music – a bit melancholic themes intertwined with aggressive themes. Some phrases sound like Metal music or Post Rock (which show wide variation thematic and emotional – from the rage till the quiet moments). An additional feature of the songs are the clearly parties of bass (sometimes in Funk style ). Although I not identified any solos but the material is not devoid of melody, which are mainly created by the calmer vocal phrases. Even the guitar riffs produce a specific melody here.
If I've got to find some similarities that I would suggest put into the shaker RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, SYSTEM OF A DOWN and THE OFFSPRING and we will get just their second album – “Goes To Hollywood.”
The album ends “ghost track”, which basically does not differ much from the whole arrangements. The song is a bit more angry.
