Silent Stream Of Godless Elegy has been founded in 1995 as doom metal band with Slavonic Folkish influence. In 2000, Line-up and style of the band has changed distinctly; the band started to co-work with Tomá Kočko, the famous Moravian Folk singer and composer, who has began to produce music of SSOGE. Now, their music reflects Moravian spirit – legends, traditions, history, gods, and is a blend of doom metal with beautiful Moravian folklore. Lyrics are mainly in Czech language. In 2004, the band came with the first album of their new Era – Relic Dances. This album used to win two Czech prestige hard music awards (Anděl, Břitva). In January 2011, they have released their second album – Návaz – by the famous French label Season of Mist.
