This is my next adventure with the music of BONA HEAD. The creator is Roberto Bonazzoli (well-known from Italian band SHW). I was delighted by previous album, so I was very curious of the second album entitled “The Path”.
At the introduction I will mention that music of BONA HEAD has not anything common with predatory Metal and even with impulsive Rock, although the mood can fit for a taste of people who like the dark, trance, very melancholy climate.
“The Path” it is the concept-album. The album transfers us in the depth of sleepy and fabulous land. The path which we tread is created by the gentle, multicoloured electronic melodies, full of keyboards phrases and samples. And the trance hits of drums create the rhythm for our steps… Though the album is very balladic but the short and more intensive melodies, the guitar hits cause the quicker the beating of heart of listener. Following for these calm melodies there we encounter the gentle singing of Roberto and mysterious woman. It is a journey – the very melancholy and nostalgic. We also encounter various emotional rises (exaltations) and falls (hypnotic phrases). And the darkness and the mysteriousness – flowing from the music – give the features of Gothic and even music of New Age.
Album is very oneiric, sometimes depressive and stimulant a imagination. It is ideal to listening at night in loneliness or in hugs of someone important for us. The music causes that we forget about a grey commonplaceness, and we sink in drowsy dreams… Only does we want to come back with this trip?
In music of BONA HEAD we can find the balladic similarities to HIM and A-HA.
