Each organism is the stronger if the its genes are more diverse. Similarly is in other areas, not only in biology. The proof of this theory is an international team of POLARIZED with the headquarters in the United States. But members come from Europe (Bosnia, Sweden and Italy). The band was formed in 2013 and “Western Hypnosis” is the first album recorded by the multinational quartet. I think this diversity of national had a significant impact on the music of band. Each member comes from a different culture and I think they has a slightly different temperament and personality. And even if their inspirations are similar but there is a high probability that each of the musicians perceives and expresses a music in other way.
Considering the above, I think that the album “Western Hypnosis” is excellent. Generally speaking it is very dynamic, even impetuous and of course is heavy and predatory and yet is very melodic and atmospheric in the dark-ominous-melancholy tone. The Thrash Metal compositions with a few elements of Death Metal arranged in a very technical way, even progressive. The virtuoso solos appear in every song between sharp, screaming vocals and aggressive riffs. And everything is based on the specific and varied melodies and the surprising rhythms. The music of POLARIZED is in constant motion, but very climatic decelerations also appear in the some songs. Although the arrangements are very technical but I do not feel overloaded by the sounds or even I am unsatisfied that the album is so short.
POLARIZED reminded me the atmosphere of the albums of ATHEIST, CEREBRAL FIX, MEGADETH, PESTILENCE, SADUS or DEATH.
