A heavy hitter of Southern rock with an injection of groove, Cambridge, ON’s A REBEL FEW is comprised of ex-West Memphis Suicide members Chris Raposo (Vocals-Guitar), Barry Martin (Guitar), Chris Spiers (Drums) along with Adam Shortreed (Bass). Playing music to fill the void not only for themselves, but for those who connect with their sound, the band has already shared the stage with Steel Panther, Jackyl, Skid Row, Killer Dwarfs, Anvil, Kill Devil Hill, Texas Hippie Coalition, My Darkest Days, The Headstones, and Danko Jones all before their debut album ‘As The Crow Flies’ is set for release on April 22nd, 2016.
Produced by Sterling Winfield (Pantera, Damageplan, Hellyeah, Texas Hippie Coalition) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Rush, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Beastie Boys, Pantera), ‘As The Crow Flies’ is ready to impact your speakers with its heavy guitars, huge rhythm section and a gravel-blasted soulful voice for straight up in your face rock n roll to add to their lyrical themes of empowerment and overcoming the worst in life as they see it.
The quartet is proud to unleash their new single ‘Rebel Few’.
Vocalist Chris Raposo comments on the track:
“The track A Rebel Few is I’d say a great example of who we are musically as a band. Heavy guitars, thunderous bottom end, “Sabbath”esque grooves and a memorable melody that gets stuck in your head all day. Above and beyond, this song is about unity and finding a place where you belong. Our hope with this track is that everyone gets lost in the riffs and the grooves to feel the vibe of A REBEL FEW. Plus most importantly they get an understanding of who we are and connect with us on a deeper level. If you’re driven by integrity, respect and trust then we welcome you to the family!”

About:
Cambridge, ON’s A REBEL FEW follow a simple motto.
“They’re not “making waves in the scene” … They’re not “from the ashes”… They’re not “creating a sound for the generation”…They’re a straight ahead no nonsense Rock n Roll band! If you dig music that you can be a part of … and a live show that isn’t 4 guys staring at their shoes, then they are a band for you!! What lives in them, lives in you … together WE are all A REBEL FEW”
That motto comes from a band philosophy that as individuals, we’ve all dealt with the feelings of not belonging or fitting into the status quo.
“We’ve always been seen as the black sheep and proud of it because we never liked the notion of simply conforming to what society has had us believe to be “normal”. A Rebel Few is badge for all those who feel abandoned by societies “standards” and are looking for refuge. A place where they belong and find strength in like minded souls.” says vocalist Chris Raposo.

Raposo, the main lyric writer says “My lyrics mostly stem from a childhood of being shunned for not adhering to what everyone saw as normal and being persecuted for simply being who I was. The music has always been my therapist.”
As lead by example with the group’s single Rebel Few, a song about unity and belonging. Overall the album has a message of “Don’t let anything or anyone tell you can’t achieve what you want to, be who you are despite what others think you should be and don’t change who you are just to appease the masses.”
