I once mentioned that the Ukrainian label Metal Scrap Records groups together not only bands from Eastern Europe. So the Italian band CRUENTA LACRYMIS is proof for that. But I think the more interesting fact is the team has two women – Erika – bassist and Elena – vocalist. Looking at the photo of the band then I does not surprise me that the singing of Elena is literally like from the grave, because the musicians from the photo look like the living dead or zombies. And the terrifying deadly screams and growls of Elena are worthy to each male singer black-death-metal band. So just the band presents such music with a strong emphasis on the gloomily-cemetery climate underlined by cover-art of the album and symphonic inlays of the keyboards.

The album, although is included on the disc CD, it has two sides (parts) – blasphemy and sweetness. Although the tracks are consistent and they do not divide the songs in terms of arrangements, and rather, probably in terms of lyrical. While the music is raging and blasphemous Black Death Metal decorated with a large dose of keyboards orchestral and neoclassical motifs and accents. Usually the songs relate to fast and furious paces interspersed with the heavy climatic decelerations. The heavy massive guitars and the often blasting drums as well as the predatory vocals create a brutal atmosphere, which is sometimes alleviated by the keyboard themes and dark relaxations. However, the aggression and fury shrouded in gloomy and mysterious atmosphere dominate here.

Sometimes CRUENTA LACRYMIS reminds the climate of CRADLE OF FILTH.
