History of FAUSTTOPHEL was started in the last year of the twentieth century. However, the time of existence of band was broken. However, after all, Alexander “Adams” Savinyh stubbornly sought to target and in 2009 he revived the band, the effect of which there are two albums…

The last album “Sancta Simplicitas” was introduced by Ukrainian declamation and soon was started a veritable storm of restive and predatory black-metal sounds enriched by the complex keyboards, which give para-symphonic and neoclassical breath to the music. Despite a hefty dose of keyboards, the material still sounds wildly. At times all sounds such like EMPEROR met XYTRAS… The fast and vicious guitar motifs supplemented artillery of keyboard sounds.

However FAUSTTOPHEL also has a lot of guitar’s melodies interspersed by razor-sharp guitar’s riffs. Also, some of the phrases literally crush thanks to their severity, especially when there are growls alternating with black-metal screams, at which the keys and all the melodies are silent. In contrast, a momentary reprieve is caused by the suitable climatic keyboard’s passages and melodies and the clean singing or the dark recitations to music… And the wholeness is dark and is infused with a large dose of emotions, from rage and fury until to a melancholy.

Fans of Black Metal were always shared on the orthodox or those with open minds and ready to different variety in the music. I FAUSTTOPHEL is definitely for the latter, for those who love Black Metal in the style of BAL-SAGOTH, DIMMU BORGIR, CRADLE OF FILTH.
