We can say that this is a band of guitarists – the Escoffier brothers, which was founded in 2004. Since that time they recorded a some smaller materials, and they played dozens of concerts in Europe… And of course, they released their first album “Mithra”…
“Mithra” is a powerful dose of technical and extreme Metal. The music shows the enormity of crushing and hurricane themes contained mainly in the fast and very fast rhythms with frequent tendencies to change the tempo. There’s no compromise. It is the mighty fucking music. The furious, hysterical, violent, aggressive and powerful polyphonic vocals are amazing thanks to their variability, ranging from the deep growls through the guttural screams and ending with the hysterical pig squeals… Lowered tuning of guitars reinforces the severity of the compositions, which frequently create deadly wall of sound. Many times there are the sudden percussion blasts between the backbreaking accents of the rhythm section, which through the combination of the guitar riffs make Mathcore tone…
… The leading riff in “Abrasive Harbingers” reminded me a little of GOJIRA’s “Oroborus”. While the title track “Mithra” introduced a little moment’s grace by the climate sounds of acoustic guitar. And it was the compromise, however it was not a one, because I found another. The gloomy and climatic intro of the bass guitar and drums to “Universal Spine.” But these compromises were quite pleasant…
This music is like a destructive tornado.
