My hands reached for another disc to making review. This time it is band M.I.C. and its next album made in China and promoted by the band around the world. Previously, I reviewed the solo album of the singer. And this time also for the first time I have the opportunity to listen to the native band of Yvon Serre.
At the beginning I focused my eyes to the cover-art of album. It was in black and white with the drawings like from a school notebook. Simple but symbolic, funny and thematic sketches of our youth, when in such a way we have illustrated on a paper our feelings, beliefs and interests. Ok. it is time to finish about the cover-art and time has come for the music.
From the beginning, we can clearly say… Sure… This is a melodic Pop Rock with a positive energy. Even I would say that this is a typical Rock’n’Roll, that is rhythmic, harmonic… It is a fairly quick making music. When I was reading a little about the band then I was finding a statement about M.I.C. “The band was and it always was the band with a mission” whose the task was, and still is to rock the world. Such is their album – a pleasant, harmonious, resonant and easily catchy, stylized for Rock’and’Roll of 70s. Shyly, I let compare some elements to AC / DC in very light release. The vocal is singing, is pure and with the “attractive” sound, which is easily absorbed by a potential listener.
As for the songs on the album they are musically kept in similar convention. Generally the wholeness is a professional and its lightness certainly don’t scare off the listener. As is in a life, this certainly will not please everyone, but for all things have appropriate a time and a place. And I think the M.I.C with the album also find these in our often imperfect world…
