Northern Blues is a Copenhagen based hardcore quartet. Having released two EP’s and supporting acts such as Crooks, the band are now set to release their first long player. Their style is best described as fast paced and complex hardcore hailing inspirations from the modern american hardcore scene. Band members have been an intergral part of the Copenhagen scene playing in acts such as Woes and Hexis but also throwing guest vocals on CABAL’s latest EP and Wolf Pack. The guys are also the youngest band ever to be released by Prime Collective.
The album is titled “Splitmind” and is the revelation of leadsinger William De Bourghs psychological condition. Suffering from severe anxiety the songs written refer to a imaginary person which is present at all times. What seems like the early stages of schizophrenia has now been embraced by the band and made him as the focal point of the debut album.
“If you can’t fight it, join it” as William puts it so eloquently.
Northern Blues offer something honest and unspoiled, something that caught the attention of Prime Collective swiftly. The Debut album “Splitmind” will be released on march 3rd and followed by a support tour for Aphyxion.
