Sometimes you just want to break the shackles and listen to something fresh instead of spinning Metal non-stop. Not that Metal is boring but as a music-enthusiast, I prefer listening to all sorts of music and explore what this wide music industry has to offer. The point that many people digress is that, it is important to support bands not “Metal bands” alone. So my search for fresh music got me into this St Louis based Folk Sextet Les Gruff and the billy goat. No, those aren’t the names of each member but the name of the band(I know the name consists of 6 words that doesn’t mean it’s the 6 members).
Anyways, the reason why I’m bringing their music forward is that it is soulful and I liked it on the first spin, which is quite rare. The song is compelling and gives the same vibes that a listener would get after listening to their debut and sophomore effort. The fact that their music revolves around many instruments and sounds catchy enough for you to sing along to. This is what the band has to say about the upcoming album which is being scheduled to release early on in December.
This one really captures the feeling of friends sharing fun times, telling stories, happy, sad, or funny”
“It evokes that kinship you start to feel when you’ve been sitting around the fire for a while, and the conversations run deeper and deeper because there’s no more trivial topics to burn.”
Folk Rock that reminds us of Americana, Les Gruff and Bily Goat are all set to unleash their album this year and do follow this space to get updates on their release.
