I’m starting another review with the band MISSION JUPITER and its album “Architecture” . The band comes from Belarus and its native city is Minsk. It was created in 2015 and has five people with very diverse musical tastes. It is interesting that at the beginning they tried in the form of a musical experiment without thinking about the future. But at present MISSION JUPITER is recognized and reviewed by music critics because the band took part in numerous competitions, television programs and played numerous concerts in his native country. They represented their country during the music week in St. Petersburg in April 2016.

The interest of musicians is mainly fantasy, which is characterized by the freedom to present the vision of world inspired by mythologies and folklore. It usually brings us into the future full of technology and supernatural phenomena. Such interests usually have their reflection in music.

Actually during of listening of MISSION JUPITER we have such a feeling that the sounds, which the band is extracting come from a world of fantasy and dreams. The sounds are filled with magic create a magical, mystical atmosphere, and it is perfect.  Everything is at a high level – technically, both instrumentally and vocally. They have been specified that they play Alternative Dream Rock style. And I advocate it. It’s like I wrote, the music from dreams, melancholy, calm and at the same time mystical with effortless high female vocal. The saxophone is diversion here, it brings additional seriousness and elegance to the music, and there is no lack of good guitar and keyboard elements.

This music I associate the most with the Dutch band THE GATHERING (with an outstanding female vocal from the time of Anneke). Although the band’s inspirations are very diverse and draws them among others from such bands like DREAM THEATER, HIM, PINK FLOYD, QUEEN or STING. So, here you can see how the musicians of the band have broad horizons of their music interests and stimulus to create their work.

To sum up, it would be a pity to have such band only for the experiment. They have a style, they have a passion, they have talent and they are musicians made to measure artists who create with passion, love and at the same time with imagination and some idea. You will dream with them, but it is also worth waking up with them. This musical adventure with a band is a journey into the future and let this future lead the creators to the next musical undertaking…
