Country: Spain
This is the first album of the Spanish band, where the female-growling vocalist Anna Vidal is on the front of the plan, who plays the guitar at the same time (also in thrash-death-metal KHAOS ORIGIN). And Joan Gau (who is also a member of thrash-death-metal DISGRACER) completes it in the same fields. Other members are the bass player Uri and the drummer Victor Gato, who probably just recorded this album with the band. And his place was taken by Kino.
Of course, the sound of the female growl is slightly different than the male, so this is what distinguishes this material… This slightly higher tone of growl dynamically intertwines with the lower male growl and together they create a very heavy and brutal atmosphere. In places, these vocals overlap. It all sounds deadly. Having a woman in the band also did not go without episodic female melorecitation…
Musically, the band may not have created any novelty but they are properly following the canons of black-death-metal playing. Speed, brutality, crushing strength… Sometimes quite technical plays and dynamic solos, as well as massive climatic gloomy slows.
Just as the introduction to the first song disturbingly announced (by the pure chords) the arrival of something terrifying, so the last song stood out strongly (like a dark sad-filled piano interlude) and it turned out to be a preview of what soon came…
On their Bandcamp profile, the band announced that this album is “A voice against the asphyxiating consuming patriarchal world where gold rules over lifes, of unquestioned beliefs and destructive behaviours. Inner and outer footprint of trauma.”
