Each album of the mysterious THE WAY OF PURITY brings something new. Initially it was very in Death Metal style, or rather like Metalcore. But gradually the melody grew, and heaviness and aggression was replaced by the mood and electronic sounds began to sound, so this time, the fourth album presents a completely different face of the band (whose members like to hide their faces)…
This album tells an interesting story in a musical setting. And it presents music much less aggressive (but not devoid of aggression), not so heavy (but not devoid of heaviness) and more atmospheric. Although strong and industrial riffs very often accompany these compositions… The guitars can still hit and accelerate strongly. And they are really sharp and ominous with connection with the squeeks and predatory scream. The massive decelerations can also crush. And the phrases sound definitely in Industrial Metal style with their synthesizer accents, evoking associations with RAMMSTEIN. And the low-turned guitars and heavy riffs, with slower paces revolve around Gothic Doom Death Metal metal regions. There are also Melodic Death Metal and Metalcore accents (also in vocal sense).
However, the album is bipolar. At the opposite end of this musical spectrum you can hear dark and very atmospheric Gothic Rock themes, full of gloomy riffs, keyboard accents and melancholic vocals, which are very diverse here. The multicolored moody female singings are intertwined with low male vocals, whispers and melorecitations. Of course, all these vocals form dialogues with each other, complement each other and even resonate simultaneously (also with the sharper ones). The vocal melodies proposed on the album are very catchy and touching, they catch the ear easily and stimulate you to sing together.
These Gothic Rock Metal patents evoke associations with THE 69 EYES, WITHIN TEMPTATION, and even LACUNA COIL with stronger hits.
The pieces are quite diverse in their structures. Musicians can build and manipulate tension in a very interesting way. At the same time, heaviness is intertwined with melody and rapacity with melancholy.
