ECLIPSEYE releases new single “Whap Clatter”

Social commentary in Metal is not new, but subtle. In this sense, there are a lot of artists who give importance to the lyrics, and what they want to convey through the same. They consider their music as a vehicle, and often they do succeed in providing the message loud and clear. Eclipseye is no different. Based out of the United Kingdom, the collective has a clear political standpoint, and they do make their personal beliefs vocal through their songs. “Whap Clatter”, their latest single, gives a clear statement against warmongering.

Moving one step further, the band also hired Ukrainian videographers for the single, so that they can raise awareness about the country’s humanitarian crisis. The band has even pledged to donate 10% of the royalties from the single during the first month entirely towards Ukraine relief.

Not just the lyricism, but the deliverance is really good and catchy that it only takes a matter of minutes for the listeners to get hooked to the song. Their genre can be best described as “Death Rap”. Don’t get fooled by “Rap”, the music video is dark and I can hear growls here and there. The symbolism can be closely related to Metal, and this song will be a treat for Metalheads wanting to try something new.
