Nocny Kochanek (in English „Night Lover”) presents the second part of the “O Jeden Koncert Za Daleko” European tour (“An One Concert Too Far”). Concerts start in mid-April in… Southampton in England!
After the September premiere of the album “O Jeden Most Za Daleko” (“An One Bridge To Far”), the band went on tour and played 33 concerts in just over 3 months, 18 of which were sold out… After presenting the latest album to the audience in Poland, Nocny Kochanek sets off to conquer European stages in a moment after receiving 3 statuettes in the Antyradio Album of Year plebiscite and nomination for the most important music award in the country – Fryderyk!
The first part of the tour promoting the album “O Jeden Most Za Daleko” ended in mid-December in Warsaw’s Progresja, which was packed to the brim. The musicians visited over 30 cities, and a large part of the concerts were held under the slogan: “SOLD OUT”.
Nocny Kochanek is not slowing down and soon, after a series of concerts in Poland and taking most of the statuettes in the Antyradio Album of Year plebiscite (voted by the audience, they were honored with the following awards: Album of Year, Band of Year and Vocalist of Year) and the nomination of the album “O Jeden Most Za Daleko” for the title Record of the Year in the Metal category in the most prestigious music competition in Poland – Fryderyk, starts with the second edition of the tour “O Jeden Koncert Za Daleko”, promoting the album “O Jeden Most Za Daleko”, which premiered on September 23 this year, with the support of Mystic Production.
This time, however, the musicians will start their musical tour in… Southampton, England. Later, the band will go to Ireland and Scotland and the tour will have its finale in Rotterdam!
Nocny Kochanek will play a total of 9 concerts outside the country, which will be the band’s second longest foreign concert tour since the group’s formation.
After the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Nocny Kochanek decided to donate part of the proceeds from subsequent concerts to humanitarian aid for Ukraine. The musicians played a unique, intimate “Almost Cultural Tour” covering small auditoriums. In this way, the band wanted to reach places that are usually omitted in the plans of most known bands.
The last performances of Nocny Kochanek gave the band the opportunity to present their own interpretations of well-known hits by Polish Pop Rock bands: Ich Troje and Feel. The band appeared at the anniversaries of both formations, where they played the songs “Jak Aniola Glos” (“Like an Angel Voice”) and “Kochaj Mnie Kochaj” (“Love me, Love me”) in Metal versions for a completely new audience.
In addition, the musicians were invited to a concert with the Sabaton group, which appeared in Krakow (Polnad). On this occasion, the song “Krotki Lont” was created, a Polish version of the Sabaton song “Gott mit uns” with a text by Nocny Kochanek. The vocalist of Nocny Kochanek, Krzysiek Sokolowski had the opportunity to perform the song with the Swedes during a concert in Poland.
Nocny Kochanek is musically classic Heavy Metal inspired by the giants of the genre, which can be heard at first… the ear. The lyrics contain specific humor for Nocny Kochanek and are usually based on facts, sometimes even real..! Using humour, often based on pastiche, language games and abstractions, Nocny Kochanek paints a picture of the Polish Metal subculture with a great distance to themselves and to the image usually associated with classic Heavy Metal.
