BRUTAL ASSAULT 2025 – “A Tribute To …” concert, special guest and other additions to the line-up

Next year’s edition of Czech biggest metal festival will host a special concert which will commemorate the legacy of Quorthon and BATHORY. The show will feature many well known musicians from Norwegian black metal scene, including E (WATAIN) on vocals, Ivar Bjørnson (ENSLAVED) on guitars, Blasphemer (VLTIMAS, ex-MAYHEM) on guitars, Apollyon (AURA NOIR) on bass & vocals and Faust (DJEVEL, ex-EMPEROR) on drums. Apart from that basic  team, they will also be joined by extra guests on selected songs like Grutle (ENSLAVED), Gaahl (TRELLDOM, ex-GORGOROTH), Frederick Melander (ex-BATHORY) and several more who will be announced later.

Thrash metal legend – KERRY KING was also recently announced as a special guest. He will perform the tracks from his first solo record “From Hell I Rise” as well as some SLAYER classics. The line-up consists of his former bandmate Paul Bostaph on drums, Phil Demmel (CATEGORY 7, ex. MACHINE HEAD, ex. VIO-LENCE) on guitars, Mark Osegueda (DEATH ANGEL) on vocals and Kyle Sanders (HELLYEAH).

Other recently announced bands are from doom/stoner metal as well as dark rock areas: PARADISE LOST, CULT OF LUNA, SKÁLMÖLD, BOHREN & DER CLUB OF GORE, CRYPT SERMON, MONOLORD, HIGH PARASITE and HÄLLAS. Modern metal will be respresented by FEAR FACTORY who will play a set devoted to album “Demanufacture”, DROWNING POOL, MNEMIC and GRAPHIC NATURE.

The festival takes place in Czech Republic on four stages between 6th and 9th August 2025. The location remains unchanged and it is the Josefov fortress in the town of Jaromer. Around 50% of revealed line-up is as follows:

Tickets for all days cost 187 Euro and they will be for sale till the end of December or until the batch is sold out. There are also tickets available for the youngest children (up to 12 y.o.), other for older ones (13-18 y.o.). There are also additional passes for the VIP lounge on the platform above the main console (one of the two of them is already sold out) and another option which is the area on the 8-meter high walls of the fortress that overlook two main stages. The number of tickets for the latter location is also limited.

Apart from the tent area, there are also options to sleep in hotels or dormitories in neighbouring cities. The price for that also includes the possibility of free transportation to the event (1x daily back and forth).
