After 14 years of existence, Russian DRUKNROLL has released their sixth album.

Another album is mercilessly changeable and dynamic, to the point of madness. This album is one of the ones that should be listened to several times to get to all the sounds. It is a real storm, which mercilessly pierces the brain with its tracks, which appear one after another very quickly, attack, often unexpectedly, and gradually emerge at other times. Ultimately they make you crazy.

The music is totally twisted and murderous at the same time, in moments is very psychotic, also a bit psychedelic and based mainly on fast crushing rhythms and guitar riffs enriched with various guitar melodies, solos as well as keyboard injections, accents and licks.

These multi-themed thrash-death-metal motifs not only crush and kick but also (but much less often) introduce a calmer tone, bizarre-balladic, more melodic, a bit melancholic. Some moments also come closer to groove-metal. And some themes are surprising, such as the bass parts, the clean guitars, the key sounds, the female singing, the samples or the complicated percussion passages.

Vocally, it is also multidimensional… Strong, screaming vocals dominate, sometimes even in growling style. But there are also sung phrases and mysterious melorecitations.

The atmosphere on the album is dark, mysterious and, as I mentioned before, very psychotic. And even like from some different dimension, which sometimes brings to mind horror movies.

“Freakingface” is a progressive combination of powerful and dynamic playing with bizarre melody.
