The Swiss DEVILSBRIDGE is a bridge between strong Metal playing and a modern approach to arranging of sounds. In 2020 they released Ep “Endless Restless”, the review was also on our website. Somewhere along the way, the guitarist was changed, who became another woman in the band. And this time it’s time for the debut album “Sense Of”, which lyrical touches the sense of the words contained in each of the song titles.

Musically, it is in a similar atmosphere. The low-tuned guitars and specific dynamic riffs with a dose of djent licks create a very Modern Metal, in which there is a lot of powerful power but also melodies. Very dynamic and heavy guitar’s cannonades are sometimes arranged into melodic-death-metal, groove-metal, nu-metal or metalcore structures, amidst which melodic solos as well as progressive-metal and post-rock themes sound.

A nice solution is clearly exposed bass, especially audible in some places. For this also powerful drums… and we have a really musically strong material, but softened by the singer. Although Dani’s singing is very dynamic, quite pugnacious and emotional, with a predominance of singing-screaming parts over clean and soft singing. Dani’s range of vocal possibilities is wide. Mostly she sings low, energetic, with a nice hoarse voice, but she can also sing high, soft and gentle, and even growl. And she does it very freely.
Some songs are very catchy, with catchy licks or choruses (like “Space”, “Perfection” or “Death”). In addition, between the songs there are also ballad accents with piano sounds (“Life”) and (“Pain”). However, “Pain” is not an easily catchy song. Maybe because of the vocal melody that goes far beyond Rock patterns.

DEVILSBRIDGE is definitely the group of modern times.
