CONSPIRACY – Interview with Björn

Hello Björn. Welcome to Metal Centre! How are you?

I guess i feel as i deserve…

Conspiracy isn't that well known yet? How long time has your band been around? Some short band'story would be nice. Please continue.

Nope, we´re not famous yet. We´re one of those, among tons of other bands, which struggle in the darkness deep down in the underground. Conspiracy has existed for about three years now. First it was a bit of a sideproject but today its a more solid band. It was meant to be a heavymetal band beside of the other more furious project. But since we all are into thrashmetal this primary intention failed and we become a more meliodic thrashband instead of a heavymetal act. Our line up today are: Björn – guitar, Andreas – guitar, Jocke – bass, Micke-p – vocals and Martin – drums.

How has the response been for your demo so far? It's your second demo right? Is it available? Got any T-shirts left?

The response so far have been mostly good. People seems to like us and thats fun. Of course some people have other opinions – as always. But mostly positive response so far. Yes, there is still some demos left as well as t-shirts.

How does it look like at your live front? Played live a lot?

No, conspiracy as band have never stand together on a stage. All of us like to play live and it would be nice to go on stage also with this band. I guess we have to work on that, we have got some offers but it haven´t turned out to be something out of it. We have talked about to set up our own show just to test the material but…well. we have to see. If someone have plans for a gig we are definitely interrested.

Conspiracy, isn't that the title at King Diamond's album from 1989? Cool!! So, you really like his music? Inspiration?

Well, we thought it was a cool name, thats the reason why we choosed it. King Diamond is a very good musican and a favourite band for some of us but it´s not that we choosed the name to be associated with him. Maybe some riffs could be associated with king diamond, i don´t know – its hard to do music without stealing a bit from there and some from that and so on. Our music is more influenced by more “thrashier” metalacts like for example Kreator,Slayer, Entombed.

Your music and so on then.Who writes the lyrics? Is it something you consider?

Micke-p and Martin write the lyrics. Andreas and I do most of the music and then we put it together in the rehearselroom so that everyone have the right to tell their opinion and come up with something else and so. We think its a strenght for our music that all members contribute with their influences.
